What is Flow arts?

Flow arts is a term used within the community to describe a variety of movement-based disciplines such as dance, fire spinning, juggling or object manipulation. Flow arts is a broad term, but generally those who practice it seek to harmonize skill-based techniques with creative expression to achieve the addicting state of present-moment awareness known as Flow.

Some of the most common forms of flow arts are poi spinning, hula hoop, staff spinning and much, much more. New forms of flow arts pretty much pop up all the time when people try to crossbreed object manipulation with other movement-based disciplines such as dance, acrobatics, martial arts and more.

Nicky Evers created a short and amazing documentary about flow arts that describes a lot of what it’s all about, why people do it and why you should do it to. Watch it below!
